While a massage session can be entirely about one of these massage types, most massage sessions (especially after we’ve worked together for awhile) will be a customized combination of techniques based on our pre-table conversation.

Relaxation Massage

Relaxation Massage can relieve pain, tension, and stiffness in joints and muscles; calm the nervous system; improve the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the cells. Ask me about coupling this with a mindful body scan for a total relaxation experience. And hot stones, cupping and/or hot packs and be added on request.

Deeper work

Deep tissue massage can reduce fibrosis and adhesions, deactivate trigger points, stretch fascia and scar tissue allowing muscles and connective tissue to glide across each other. Two special techniques I’ve trained in:

  • Scar Tissue Release
  • Myofascial Release

Special Techniques

Massage Cupping can be integrated into a regular massage session, or it can be included with manual lymphatic drainage for a wonderful immune-system detox/mobilization treatment!

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle technique formulated for individuals with swelling disorders.

Oncology Massage is an extremely gentle, slow massage for those who have undergone chemotherapy.

Structural Release Therapy (SRT) is an effective technique for addressing a variety of complex and chronic medical conditions.

Body-oriented (Somatic) Coaching: If you are in transition, curious about your future goals, or in a quandary about your life as it is now, receive support by connecting with your own inner wisdom with a safe and confidential session.

Mindful Awareness in Body-Oriented Therapy (MABT) is a mind-body therapeutic approach created and designed to teach basic skills in “interoceptive awareness”, which helps individuals develop fundamental skills in connecting to their inner body’s sensations.  Learning to trust, to listen to the body as a source of insight, rather than as an adversary, can be transforming.
